Indian Courser (Cursorius coromandelicus )

Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India

26 December 2005

Hard work pays. I waited for more than an hour to shoot this bird. Once I spotted the birds feeding on the ground, I choose a location where these birds would pass and stayed flat on the ground for a very long time. After around 45 mins, they did pass in front of me and was able to get some shots of it.

Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS and 1.4xII on Canon 10D. Hand held using ground for resting the elbo. ISO 200, 1/640 @ f5.6, Evaluative Metering at Zero.
